What Could Missed Periods With Negative Result In HPT Indicate?

Hi doctor, I am very much worried about my missed period. I have taken home pregnancy test two times and the result showed negative. In the month of May 2015 I was pregnant. We have identified it in the early stages of pregnancy and had an abortion using mifeprostone under medical advice. After that doctor given some medicines with contraceptive pills also. In the month of June I got periods again on time with 8 days bleeding. But after that in July I missed my period with cramps and discharge. Pregnancy home test showed negative and I am thinking there is no chance to become pregnant this month. Please help me. I am waiting a reply from your end. Thanks

Hi,

If you are taking the advised contraceptive regularly,without a break or irregularity. You should not worry. There won't be any pregnancy. Some hormones (in-built in contraceptives) can cause menstrual irregularity that might be the cause. Please consult your prescribing doctor to get assured. In case of no contraception used this month or irregularity in consumption, the pregnancy test should be done after 8 days from delay in periods. Please note.
