What Could Numbness On Toes Of Right Foot Indicate?

I have two toes on my right foot that go numb. I thought it was my shoes size but I have wider boots and it still happens. It has only happened once while wearing scandals, doesn t happen when I am not earing shoes at home but I m not walking any distance either. - this has been going on for a year now.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and thank you for your question.
It sounds like you have developed a neuropathy. This is a type of nerve damage that causes numbness in the feet and toes. It is more common in diabetics but can happen to anyone. It can be from your spine or just in the nerves in your toes. It is best to see a doctor and see if they can find the cause with an exam and some blood tests.
Regards
