What Could On And Off Spotting During Periods Indicate?
I started my period around the normal time and the first day I bled a little later than usual and then the second day I bled not enough to put tampon in enough to wear when I wiped it was very noticeable and it was dark brown burgundy color and thicker like cream kind of and then it did that for a day and a half and then it I spotted and then started bleeding again but this time it was like pink during all of this I had pieces of tissue come out and its been doing this back and forth for about a day and a half now
* As per my clinical experience, various causes may be responsible for the intermenstrual bleed as
- vaginal infection
- hormone imbalance of some sort
- improper intake of oral contraceptive pills
- ovarian cyst type conditions or pathology
- changes in uterine epithelial linings
- stress and related topics
- side effects of certain medications
- other systemic illness manifesting in this manner
Kindly provide me further details of history and any reports if available for further reference to discuss ahead.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
