What Could Painful Eyes During Menses Suggest?

Hello,For the past year or so I've noticed a pattern of eye ball pain prior to my menstrual cycle beginning. One month my right eye could hurt, the next month it could be my left eye. Once my period begins the pain goes away. I have no other eye symptoms other than this pain which is similar to the feeling of something being in it.
