What Could Painful Neck With Numbness In Legs Suggest?

I am continually in pain. Hands, neck, shoulders, lower back, knees. I have humbness in one leg from my hip to knee. Some burning in lower back and abdomen. I wake up this way every day. I feel a little better after a hot shower, but it hurts to sit for long. What is going on?
