Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Could Persistent Brown Spotting Followed By Heavy Vaginal Bleeding Indicate?
My period was Aug 31 I started having brown spotting Sept 28. I continued to spot up until today which is Oct 9 then I had a heavier flow the blood was dark red. I have all the signs of pregnacy. but yesterday and today Ive been having spark pains no cramps.
Pregnancy signs are mostly displayed due to a hormonal change and so many other factors causing hormonal imbalances can also similar symptoms. Some of the conditions include:
+Side effect of medications +Generalised infections (e.g. upper reapiratory tract infection) +Stress +Conditions of the reproductive tract (e.g. ovarian cysts, polycystic ovarian syndrome, endometriosis, etc.) +Birth control pills +Strenuous exercise and a few others.
But if at all there was a history of unprotected sexual intercourse then please visit a doctor to rule out miscarriage, and find the cause for the irregular bleeding.
Best wishes.
