Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Could Pink Spotting With Delayed Periods And Mild Cramping Indicate?
My implanon birth control expired last month. My period is currently 9 days late. I have very very mild cramping. I have had white vaginal discharge for about a week. Also, today I noticed very light pink coloring on my toilet paper after I peed. My doctor has no available appointments for about 3 weeks but I m so worried.
This may indicate a transient hormonal imbalance. Chance of pregnancy is less within a month of expiring implant if it is still there (obviously you need another backup method till renewal).
Anyhow, just get a urine pregnancy test done. If negative, we can wait for 2-3 to get the period. If no bleeding by then, kindly see your doctor for further evaluation.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
