What Could Post Surgical Consequence Be For Itchy Skin Tag Removal?

I ve been diagnosis with anal skin tags(2) At my last dr visit he did not remove them although they cause me sever discomfort by way of itching. I have a appointment set next week just wondering if this is something that can be taken care of at the office visit. And if so what to expect after the procedure. Thank you

Hello dear,

Welcome to healthcaremagic.

I have read your query and understood your concern.

Skin tag removal is a simple OPD based procedure depending on the size and site of lesions.

Usually in one sitting the removal is done and post excision topical antibiotics with or without oral antibiotics are started.

You may discuss it with your treating doctor before the procedure for your assurance and satisfaction.

Good luck.
