What Could Pounding In Ears And Subsequent Dizziness Indicate?

I am a senior in high school, and while I was sitting in class, my right ear just started pounding quickly, like a sort of drum roll. It lasted for about a few seconds then it stopped. The next thing I knew, I felt a sort of dizzy sensation. I didn't know if I should see the nurse to see what just happened, or if I should ignore it.

Hi,

I understand your problems.

The symptoms you experienced (right ear pounding quickly followed by a dizzy sensation) could be due to :
- circulatory issues (oscillation in blood pressure)
- local ear problems (clogged ear, etc.).

As this has been associated with dizzy sensation, I highly recommend to see the nurse and the doctor to check your ears and blood pressure.

Do not ignore it.
Hope this helps.
