What Could Pressure In Eyes And Headache Indicate?

I have had for several weeks, what I can only explain as eye pressure pain with headaches, I have had my eyes checked with full health check ie pressure test they are all okay.. I have had MRI & CT scan on my brain show swelling of the outer blood vessels.. I was tested for temporal arthtitis & CADSIL these came back negative

Serial eye checkup is necessary to evaluate if there is any problem with the drainage of the intraocular fluid. It usually causes tenderness and eye pressure when there is increased intraocular pressure.


Another very important cause is inflammation of the outer layer of the eyeball. Ophthalmologist will help you for prescription of eye drops if needed after careful examination.


Optic nerve problem, Vision and accommodating issues also cause severe pressure on eyes that transmits back to head on the backside of the eyeball. Optometrist will help you for that.


Dengue fever also causes severe eye ball pain but has other symptoms too like fever.


Lastly there may be Frontal Sinus disease that also causes pain and pressure in eyes. Your eye physician may refer you to an Ottorhinolaryngologist for comolete evaluation and treatment if needed.
