What Could Pricking Pain In Chest With Profuse Sweating And Breathlessness Indicate?

Hi, I have been very breathless and sweating this week with a cough. I went to the dr and had blood taken and waiting the results on an x Ray of my chest. Tonight I coughed and the most painful pain in my chest like a hundred needles . What is it? Please Thanks

Thanks for your question.

After going through your question, I can understand your concern.

These symptoms may related to heart, in that case it requires immediate medical attention.
Better to go to ER.

It requires immediate ECG and cardiac enzymes like Trop I / T & CPK-MB to be done.
Depending upon test results and clinical examination further evaluation can be planned.

Other possibility is pleuritic chest pain due to lung infections (pneumonia or pleural effusion) which can be confirmed on your clinical examination, chest x ray, ultrasound of chest and blood tests.

You can try pain killer like diclofenac with paracetamol with antacid.
