What Could Pulsations Under Rib Cage Suggest?

I have an odd pulsating about 2 inches below my rib cage (under my left breast). There is no pain involved in the pulsating. Sometimes if I bend forward I get a cramp in that same area; it actually hardens into a knot and is somewhat painful though not unbearable. This happens infrequently, but still enough to concern me.
