What Could Raised Dark Spot On The Tip Of Tongue Suggest?

Hi, I just found a raised dark spot on the tip of my tongue about the size of a dime. It is not painful. It was not there yesterday. It almost looks bruise-like (but I haven't bitten my tongue or anything like that and its not sore). I'm in my late 20s and do not smoke or use other tobacco products. Should I be worried?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems most probably like a Hematoma leading to formation of bruise at the tip of the tongue which can be due either tongue bite, injury with some hard food or can also be due to burning with some hot food or allergic reaction..
You need not to worry as there looks nothing serious and you need not to worry about it and do cold compresses over the tongue tip for relief..
Avoid hot and spicy foods and maintain a good oral hygiene..
It can take from a week to ten days for fading of bruising..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
