Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been experiencing nausea intermittently...feels like if I eat I would vomit but it feels that way if I don t eat as well. Some pain associated with it 5 on a 1-10 scale. I am 59, no smoke or drink. Some coffee usually in the a.m. but doesn t seem like that triggers anything. I haven t actually been able to pinpoint anything or anytime that triggers it...just comes and goes!
Based on the history you have shared, you should have an upper gastrointestinal tract endoscopy and barium swallow to rule out any structural deformation or hiatal hernia etc. An ulcer etc may also be ruled out. Also taking antacids like Omerperazole before meals along with motility agents like Domperidone or Itapride before meals can be helpful.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
