What Could Recurring Numbness In Foot And Calf Muscles Indicate?

I described symptoms to two 1st responders from our volunteer fire station and they both said sciatic nerve. but looking it up I don t exactly match the symptoms listed for it. I spend a lot of time at waffle house high counter with leg crossed over knee...foot goes numb but feeling returns quickly without the pins and needles, also my calf muscles feel like someone hit them with a baseball bat. first was right leg then it move to left leg... feel almost like I m about to have the mother of all Charlie horses but not. I don t have hip or back pains... I m going to make an appointment with my doctor early sept when I get back from trip. Need I be more concerned or is it safe to wait upon return

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, sign and symptoms may be suggestive of spinal degenerative disease, if you have not done the MRI then it is advisable to get it done, till then physiotherapy and total bed rest would be helpful, and Tab Ibuprofen 400 mg three times in day with vitamin supplement can be tried, hope this information helps take care and have a nice day.
I find this answer helpful
