What Could Recurring Sore Throat, On And Off Earache And Spitting Blood Indicate?

Hi goodday,I have a sorethroath on and off since i was in college ten years ago since now! If smell something minty i feel the mint inside my mouth, i have earache on and off to and spitting sone blood sonetimes in mouth or nose?what procedures i need to undergo and is it life threatening?
