What Could Recurring Vomiting Post Wisdom Tooth Extraction Indicate?

ny 22 yo daughter had her wisdom teeth removed around 36 hours ago. she began vomiting 24 hours later and has been repeatedly for the last 2-3 hours. no obvious signs of fever, although I'm not currently with her. how do we know when we should take her to the ER?

Hi..
Can understand your concern..

As per your complain recurring vomiting after tooth extraction occurs commonly as a side effect of the medications like antibiotics or painkillers given to your daughter after tooth extraction to prevent infection and relieve pain..

In case if there is recurrent vomiting i would suggest you to consult your dentist so that he can either reduce the dose of the medicine or get the medicine changed..

As the medicine will be withdrawn slowly the symptoms will subside..

As of now give her Ondensarton to reduce vomiting..
Give her plenty of fluids and oral rehydration solution to prevent dehydration caused due to vomiting..
Take a soft diet and appropriate rest..
Eat more of yoghurt, rice, cereals etc..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
