What Could Red And Veiny Lump On Breast With Peeling Skin Indicate?

Hi I have had a lump on my breast for about a week. It is about the size of my thumbmail and it is red and veiny in appearance. Today when I took my bra off it was peeling so I flaked off the skin and now it is black and dark red around it. I ve never had this experience before and breast cancer is common in my family.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, asthere is strong family history of breast cancer and the lesion depicted is suspicious, I consider following possibilities as

- intraductal neoplasm with extension to terminal ducts
- paget`s disease of the breast
- advanced malignancy breast with Peude`orange skin changes

* It is best recommended to consult your doc and discuss the need of
- mammography breast
- BRCA gene mutation analysis
- biopsy of the lesion

If any of the reports available, kindly share with me during follow up chat.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
