What Could Red Painful Spots On The Tonsils Suggest?

Hello! I have had a history of multiple tonsil stones and now I have these red on one of the flaps in front of one of my tonsils. It tastes like blood every once and awhile and is causing a lot of pain, I m not sure what I should do.RespectfullyEmily Espinosa

HI.
The redness on the flaps ( called as pillars) is indicative of an active infection and has to be treated by a broad spectrum antibiotics.
You need to consult in ER or [preferably an ENT surgeon.
If this is long standing and indicative of Quinsy, that is peritonsillar abscess , you need the drainage also.
