What Could Ringing In Ears After A Crawling Sensation Indicate?

i have had a crawly sensation in my ear canal for a couple months now, with mild tinnitus, was mainly when i lay down but now even when sitting upright. interfering with what little sleep i get. tried oil , and antibiotic ointment, been checked by dr, no visible infection in ear.
