What Could Rough Patch In Mouth That Popped Out A Lump Indicate?

On the left side of the inside of my mouth feels like alot of rough patches I looked and found what liked like a white pimple I popped it and a semi hard small lump came out now there is a hole that had turned red and starting bleeding it has become painful. What could this be

Hello,

I can understand your concern. If you have habit of putting candy or mouth freshner or some tobacco product for long time or during whole night against left cheek, the rough patches and pimple like lesion that you have found may develop due to constant friction of the cheek mucosa with that substance.

If that is the case, then you should leave that habit and it will stop developing. For now, you can apply local benzocaine gel such as Mucopain 3-4 times a day to the area concerned. If the ulcer does not heal in about a week or if it increases in size or severity, then you should consult a dentist for examination of the ulcer regarding the color, texture, size, consistency etc. You might have to go for biopsy to reach a confirmed diagnosis of the ulcer.
