What Could Severe Pain In Groin Area Of A Child With Marks Of Bug Bites Indicate?

My son was playing baseball tonight in the yard and came inside with no issues, about an hour after playing he was complaining of pain which keeps getting worse in his groin area on the left side of his body. He says it really hurts, he cries if you touch the area around his lower belly to groin muscle/hip. He doesn t want to put pressure on the leg nor move the joint. We noticed about 5 what seem to be small bug bites around the area though- definitely not a pain due to do itching- it s more severe. Any ideas?

I really appreciate your concern, beside the insect bite it could be infection (Infective boil) and it must be associated with lymph node too, and this need to be ruled out till then it can be managed with "Ibuprofen, dose need to be adjusted according to age and weight, hope this helps, take care and have a nice day.
