What Could Severe Pain In Hip After Sitting For Long Hours Indicate?

I am a 40 year old female, in great health but have developed pretty severe hip pain on the right side after I sit or more than 45 minutes. After I ger up and walk around, the pain gets better or goes away entirely but is right back the next time I stand up. Any ideas? I did not have any major trauma to the joint.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your hip pain seem to be related to sitting for long periods of time, as well as poor posture.
This usually leads to pain in the hips.
I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain.
I also suggest gentle stretching exercises for relieve.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
