What Could Severe Stabbing Pain In Ovary Area With Painful Legs Indicate?
Good morning, I am currently in a situation where I am not sure what to do. I am 25 years old and for the past week or so when I go to sleep and sometimes during the day I have serve shopping pains in my ovary area I also have pains through the whole of my legs which feel like I have been for a long session at the gym when I haven t at all. Please can you give me the best advice of what it might be? Thanks.
Hello and welcome to HCM, What is the nature of pain in legs? Does the pain radiate from ovary region to legs or the pain in lower abdomen and legs diffuse and isolated. A radiating pain from lower abdomen to the legs is suggestive of nerve related problem. Compression or nerve commonly leads to radiation of pain from site of origin to the area where it supplies. In your case the nerve could be arising from the spine and radiated down to the legs. However, if the pain is diffuse and there is no radiation, other causes have to looked for. I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment, investigations and thus management.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
