What Could Shallow Disk Displacement In MRI Report Suggest?
Doctors office just called and receptionist stated my MRI results as L-3 protrusion, shallow disk displacement at L2-L3, mild anterolisthesis at L5-S1 with mixed spondylotic (spelling may not be right) disc displacement. I obviously have no idea what this means. Is there any way you can give me a clue? I talk to my doctor on 8/29 about it.
There is a disc between the vertebrae which helps in a shock absorber function, disc contains good amount of hydration ( water) its lost in the degenerative disc diseases and post traumatic causes.
The disk at L3(lumbar vertebral level 3) has moved out backside. Shallow disc (protruded and downwards ) at the level of L2-L3 level. The L5 vertebrae has moved anterior to the line over the S1 vertebrae - listhesis.
Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health. Anything to ask ? do not hesitate. Thank you.
