What Could Sharp Pain Around The Rib Cage While On Medication For Pancreatitis Indicate?
I have been suffering from sharp pains just left of the diaphragm on the left side and about an inch and a half down and just under the rib cage. it gets real bad especially after eating any type of meal. I eat very small meals, am on a low fat, low fiber diet as i have gastroporesis. I do not have my gall bladder and have had a nissen-fundoplication that severed the vagas nerve and had to have the pyloric valve cut and permanently opened. I am on medication for pancreatitis as well. Is there anything you can suggest that might be causing my severe pain?
Hello, I had gone through your query and understand your concern.
Pancreatitis is known to cause severe pain. Your pain is may be due to Pancreatitis. I suggest you to continue same diet and treatment. Once the infection is controlled your pain will come down.
Hope this helps.
If you have any other queries, feel free to ask. I'll be happy to help.
