What Could Sharp Pain On Wrist Suggest?

hi, i have a sharp pain on the inside of my wrist area below the pinky. it started about a month ago wheni picked up a large amount of cable out of a bin at work, it was sharp and shooting pain and it burnt right up into my pinky and since then every time i turn my wrist in downward motion to pick something up it gets the shooting again
