What Could Skin Discoloration With Puss Secretion After Ear Piercing Indicate?

I got my ears pierced 4 weeks ago. About a week ago, I realized that when I push the back of the earring forward and look at the hole at the front, and kind of pus comes out. It is kind of a skin colored, brown, white,see through color. My mom said it was just dead skin and healing. Is she right? It comes everyday.

Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain in case if there is white to brown discharge from ear piercing site it is not a normal sign and can be either due to allergic reaction to the metal used in the earrings or can be due to bacterial infection at the piercing site..
I would suggest you to gently remove the earrings and clean the area with betadine solution..
Gently press the pierced site and drain off pus..
Apply a Triple antibiotic ointment over it..
Do it altleast twice a day..
Once it heals it will be better if you wear gold or plastic earrings as they are inert material and will not cause any reaction..
In case of no improvement consult a General Physician and get evaluated..
