What Could Skin Piece With Veins On A Tampon Indicate?

Hello I just pulled my tampon out and wrapped around it was a thin piece of skin (resembles chicken skin) it was about 5 cm long and there are other bits too. They are red and pink in colour and have tiny veins through some parts. Should I be worried?!
