What Could Skipping Of Heart Beat In Elderly Suggest?

I am a 53 year old male. I am in good health and work out on an elliptical 6 days a week (for years). Last evening I began feeling my heart skip beats. It doesn't seem to be in rhythmn. I woke this morning with the same thing going on. What could be the problem? Anything to worry about?

Hi,

It may be due to ventricular ectopic or ventricular arrhythmia. Also, possible with atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your physician get it done ECG and echo then get treated accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
