What Could Sore Throat, Painful Breathing With Tense Neck In Right Side Mean?

My neck will not stop tensing up on the right side from my jaw to my shoulder. My throat is mildly sore, breathing is painful just on the right side. I have no fever. I went to a walk in clinic last night and was given amoxicillian. The tense neck situation started this am. Making it painful to breathe. I was tested for strep and it came back negative.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms seem to be related to an upper respiratory tract infection.
I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the inflammation.
I also suggest to continue Amoxicillin 500 mg three times a day as prescribed by your doctor.
I recommend to rest, drink liquids and eat a healthy diet.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
