ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, you seem to be having acute rhinopharyngitis and the cause usually is infection may be viral to start with and bacterial afterwards. The yellowish patches can be the fungal infection which usually accompanies infective conditions of throat or ulceration over the palatal region. if the area you have described over palate painful the chances of ulceration are more and if it is painless, the chances of fungal infection are more. Antiseptic gargles, clotrimazole mouth paint and multivitamin capsules should solve the problem in few days. In case it does not, please consult an ENT. Regards
