What Could Splinter Hemorrhages Under Nails Suggest?

I think I have splinter hemorrhages under my nails. I will get one and it will go away after a few days or a week, and then I two might pop up on different fingers. This as been happening the last couple of months, but I have no other symptoms that are listed for the related heart condition. What do you think about this?
