What Could Spotting And Little Bleeding In 25th Week Of Pregnancy Suggest?

Hi My wife in India has been admitted in Hospital coz of spotting and little bleeding, she has completed 25 weeks yesterday. doctors are releasing her form hospital tomorrow, but here spotting is on and off there. what should we do?
She has gone through Ultrasound and her Placenta has come down it seems. we both want the baby and very much worried about situation. kindly help please. Avi

Hi Avi, I have gone through your question. Bleeding and spotting with low lying placenta is suggestive of placenta previa.
Placenta previa is a condition in which the placenta is located low down in the uterus and can cause painless causeless bleeding anytime in pregnancy.
Precautions to be taken are not doing strenuous work, not lifting heavy exercises and to practice abstinence.
I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist and be in close follow up because anytime if there is heavy bleeding, a caesarean section have to be done to save the mother and baby.
