What Could Stinging Pain On Leg With Numbness Suggest?

Not too long ago, my large toe on my left foot started stinging at the tip. The nail is fine, although i did cut it a little short awhile back, but it is not ingrown. The toes gets very cold, pail and numb very often recently. The pain at the time felt like growing pains. It is cold out and my feet are usually always somewhat cold, but nothing serious... Is it anything i should get checked out?
