What Could Sudden Chills, Tight Throat And Painful Jaws Indicate?

hello im a 46 year old female, and about 4 days ago i started waking up with chills, like teeth chattering chills freezing in every core of my being ,i went to the doctors and i explained that the last time i fealt like this i had gotton a really bad infection after a mojor surgery.. basically no answers well starting yesterday my throat feels like its closing on me, hard to swallow, and jaws are hurt. Now im pretty prone to broncitis and phenomia and its not that. YYYY@YYYY

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have chills , tightness in throat and painful jaw . The symptoms you mention in query are probably due to sore throat . This can be caused by bacteria or virus . It seems to me in your case this is caused by virus . It may take few days to go away as virus will complete its cycle . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order throat swab test , virus culture test , blood test and CT scan to rule out condition like strep throat , muscle spasm of neck and temporomandibular problem . Doctor may prescribe anti virus drug like acyclovir or antibacterial drugs . Doctor may also refer you to oral surgeon . For now do warm saline gargles and betadine gargles .
