female 83 years of age. extreme swelling of both lower legs. had had 2 massive heart attacks , some CHF becoming less responsive over the last couple of months. Has spoken of seeing husband who died 39 years ago. Less appetite and less want/need for fluid. Does not now want or express need to be in presence of others during family dinners. The extensive swelling both legs, hallucinations with low responsiveness in an elderly of age 83 indicate flare up of underlying cardiac condition with electrolyte disturbances that of sodium and potassium. She requires intensive evaluation with her treating physician in terms of: - Complete hemogram and blood counts - Serum urea, creatinine - Serum electrolytes and blood sugar - Urine microscopy - 2D Echo of the cardiac status - Electrocardiogram - X-ray chest (PA) - With or without CT brain without contrast
