What Could Swollen Blood Vessel In Left Side Of Throat Indicate?

I have been recently been diagnosed as having a swollen blood vessel in the left side of my throat. The doctor wants a closer look with a scope through my nose. Unfortunately this will take several weeks to get an appointment. My concerns are that it may be a serious health problem. The pain is at times severe and include difficulty swallowing, pain in my ear and jaw and numbness in my face and lips. I am a 36 year old otherwise healthy woman. I have a history of hemangioma on my quadricep which was removed 10 years ago
