What Could Swollen Feet With Lesions With Flaky Skin Suggest?

my dad is an alcoholic and about 7 months ago started getting really sick. he has swollen feet, and red lesions all over his arms, legs and chest. He says he got blood poisioning but i know its somthing else. He also has flaky skin REALLY bad. He is always sick, and has lost alot of weight. What does he really have? He always bleeds from his mouth and nose, can i catch anything?
