What Could Swollen Lymph Nodes Suggest?

I have multiple swollen lymph nodes on my neck, they have been gradually showing up and now are getting bigger. I am very concerned, and freaking out. Please help me. I've been to the doctor they always say it's a swollem lymph node it'll go down, nothing to worry about. But I am worried.
