What Could Tender, Painful Bump On Scalp Above The Left Ear Indicate?
Today I noticed a bump on my scalp behind & slightly above my left ear. I do not remember injuring it. As the day progressed I noticed it more because it felt tender like a bruise if I brushed or touched it. The bump is raised & a little over an inch in size. It hurts to lay my head down on that side tonight. What could this be?

What you have noticed on your scalp above your left ear could be a furruncle or sebecious cyst. It it is painful, then it must have been infected.
It needs to be explored and drained if there is pus collection under aseptic conditions.
