What Could The Glucose AC Reading Suggest, Have Heredity Of Diabetes?

I am 53 years old, 5'4" tall, 148.8lbs, with a family med history of diabetes type 2. I have no health problems at present.
Can you explain the significance of a Glucose AC (mmol/L) reading of 5.9.
What is the average? what is considered high? what is low?

Dear i can understand your concern.
i am very happy see your interest in knowing about Glucose levels.
the blood glucose before food should be 6.5 mmol/l
and after food (after food 2 hrs)can go up to 8.0
to calculate average blood glucose we use a separate test called Hba1c this is called glycosylated haemoglobin.
this Hba1c above 6.5% is considered as diabetic
blood sugar level below 4 mmol/l is considered as low.
blood sugar level above 10 is high and needs treatment
