I also have a red swollen bump on the inner part of my arm that is tender to touch and hurts when it rubs against my clothes. A girl that I work with has mrsa and just got it recently. I m scared that s what I have.
Hello, Thanks for the query. You might have developed abscess Abscess are deep bacterial infections. In simple terms bacteria infect our body and destroys tissue. This destroyed tissue forms pus and a collection of pus anywhere in body is called as abscess. Treatment is with antibiotics but the choice of antibiotics should be based on culture and sensitivity tests. Abscess must be drained and pus should be subjected to tests to find out which bacteria is causing it and to which antibiotic the bacteria is sensitive. Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
