What Could The Continued Presence Of A Pimple Indicate?

hello, hi this is sabina ,,my mom got a small pimple on her left cheek she just pressed it , but it didnt grow fully, now it is formed like a small lump kind off, it is since past so many months with no pain ,but now its giving little pain,, i hope its nothing to worry about ,can someone help me,,

Hi Sabina,

Your mom may be having sebaceous cyst most probably. It is a benign cystic lesion. It contains cheesy material. Initially it looks like big pimple, gradually enlarged to cyst. The pain suggest mild infection in cyst. Antibiotic and anti inflammatory drug may be given to her. After clearance of infection,It may be removed surgically under local anaesthesia. It is a minor surgery done in OPD. You consult either dermatologist or surgeon. Your mom would be alright. I hope you got my answer.
