What Could The Crater On Skin And Indentation On Lower Back Be?

I have a sudden indentation on the right side of my lower back right above my buttocks. It s sudden, painless, and about the size of a half dollar. I ve had no injury. It looks like my skin sunk in. I have no idea why. It looks like there is a very very slight color change but I wouldn t of even noticed it if it wasn t for the horrible, unsightly crater on my skin. What could this be?

If there is no discharge or hair from the crater and is not troublesome ,it is not significant ,it is quite normal .
