Hi my name is Tammie. I just had 2 lipome removed from my left side of my back and the left side of the back of my thigh. I had a mammogram and they told me that they found something in my left breast mid line. I really need to know what is going on on my left side of my body?
Hi, Thanks for choosing healthcaremagic. Lipomas are very common benign tumor which occur in a large number of people. It is absolutely benign and there is nothing to worry about it. The only problem it causes is a cosmetic problem and for which it can be easily removed usually under local anaesthesia itself. The mammogram report has not been written by you. 'Something' in the breast can be a lot of things. As there is no specific details of the breast lesion, it cannot be commented about. Please give a detailed description of the report, at least whatever is written in the report then we can try and explain it. The lipomas and the breast lesions are not connected for sure so don't worry as something is happening to the left side of your body. Please get back with more details of mammogram report and I would be happy to help you. Hope it sorts your problem. Regards, Dr. Pankaj Nagori Specialist Radiologist
