What Could The Reason Be If Having Recurring Hives After Having An Anaphylactic Shock?

Hi. My husband went through an anaphylactic shock on Saturday. Last night he was again covered in hives, no major respiratory issues. The hives disappeared after 6 hours and now are occurring again. I gave him chlorpheniramine.
Is this a late reaction or can it be from something else?

Hello dear,
Welcome to HCM.
I have read your query and understood your concern.

Hives and angioedema may occur together.
It is due an allergic reaction to some inciting factor.
He may continue with chlorpheniramine in night and may take levocetrizine/fexofenadine in morning for atleast 2weeks continuosly.

In case of any respiratory distress , consult your doctor immediately.

good luck.
