What Could The Shoulder And Wrist Bleeding Spots Be?

a small pinhead size bleeding dot has just appeared on my shoulder and also on my wrist. What can this be? Is it an insect bite or something to do with blood vessels etc. There is no swelling or itching just the pinhead size of blood which bleeds quite a lot until I have to put a plaster over until it heals.
