What Could The Skin Tag Growth In Armpits That Swell Be Significant Of?
I have a history of skin tag growths under armpits. It is common on my mom s side of the family. I have a particular one that started out small and has grown over the years to the size of a pea. Usually dark in color with no pain. Recently it has become swollen, almost twice its size with a reddish color and slight pain. It especially hurts when I close my armpits and put pressure on it. Last night I think it busted and began to leak a clear color. The size went down a little but there is still slight pain. Should I be concerned? I have no insurance so I m trying to figure out what to do?

Skin tags can get infected due to minor trauma like scratching. Once infected, it can become enlarged, swollen and painful. You need not worry. You may apply an antibiotic ointment like neosporin thrice a day. It will heal in a few days time.Hope this helped,
