What Could Tightening Pain In Right Side Of Head Above The Ear Indicate?

I have been having pain on the right side of my head above my ear. I went to my doctor and he says it is muscle spasms. It hurts when I lay my head on the pillow and to touch it. He told me to take aleve for 7 days, it went away and has now come back. Feels like it is tightening sometimes. I am concerned because I have had a mini stroke and I am on plavix and 81mg of aspirin a day. can you give me any suggestions? My doctor is a MD and I feel maybe I should see a neurologist.
